Each Trominii tile is 77 mm long
There are 77 Trominii playing pieces
The Tin is 77 mm tall.
All of these 77s are true coincidence.

There is another 77 connected to this game that I won't let on just yet.
The number was 78 but it altered to 77 for a reason obviously.
I looked up the number 77 and it only has good things written about it.
So I'm happy.
Have a great time playing a perfect game to relax and unwind.

]]>1) First the snowflake shape that shows how many times and how Trominii can link to themselves in a small space.
You can see the shape and how each number 4 links in to each other.
The first two laid and matching would give a score of 8, another piece laid would count 3 x 4 = 12, next piece added counts 4 x 4 = 16, next piece 5 x 4 = 20 on up to the maximum score in this play of 32.
2) How to link Trominii correctly so that they score within the rules.
You can see the first picture shows a 45 degree connecting to a 45 degree angle. this is ticked as correct.
The second picture shows a Trominii tile being laid singly on a flat side of the adjoining Tile. This is incorrect.
Although when an extra tile is linked into a play, similar to the tiles at the bottom of each picture you will see that the 4s are laid on a side but as a secondary play when both angles are used.
3) Some of the loops and how to score those.
The Green line shows that only those that form the direct path of the loop count in the score. None of the extra limbs or connections form the loop.
4) The side by side overlay scoring.
The green line again shows which Trominii are linked and form part of the score.
The first number 5 it touches then both Trominii tiles plus the one overlaid on top all add to this score.
]]>1) Blanks can best be used in blocking others play or if you lay first, as they have no score but you could gain later when used strategically.
2) The Side By side Overlay is a great move and you can use it anytime that you have a Trominii tile that will lay down beside another and match 2 of the 3 numbers. You must however have the linking overlay tile to join the odd numbers left. This is a 2 tile laying play.
3) Always be thinking about loops, due to the play always linking up on 45 degree angles they occur naturally in play. You just have to be ready to close the loop.
4) Tactically form loops quietly, based on what you have in your rack, lay a false trail almost then pounce with a closure.
5) Wildcards come in very handy when someone else might lay their Trominii tile in your planned loop. maybe keep one or 2 handy in your rack.

]]>If we work from the youngest up they can start by using the tiles to make shapes, squares, rectangles, then moving into matching the dots with each other.
counting the dots. Adding the dots to find the highest scoring piece.
From there they can start to play by making trails of pieces with matching numbers.
Then scoring each play if playing with others.
For those that want to have a friendly quiet game you can just play by matching the numbers also, until you run out of tiles to play.
Another way to play is by restricting the area of play. I once did this at an airport in Denmark. A small table between seats in the waiting area. I spoke to the lady next to me and asked if she would like to play a new game. She gratefully accepted rather than constantly clock watch.
She loved Trominii. Asking where she could buy it, unfortunately I only had a prototype set and none to sell.
For those that take gaming seriously, there are so many ways to stretch your strategic and tactical brain power.
Even playing in 3 Dimensions and alongside each piece in the same turn.
Endless ways to play.
